S&P 500 closes flat, but posts best week since April even with election undecided; European markets close lower with U.S. election, coronavirus in focus; BELEX15 up 1.1% 
Stocks closed mostly flat on Friday as traders looked for clarity around the presidential and congressional election results. The S&P 500 ended the session down about 1 point at 3,509.44. The Nasdaq Composite rose less than 0.1% to 11,895.23. The Dow Jones Industrial dipped 66.78 points, or 0.2%, to end the day at 28,323.40. 
The Labor Department said the U.S. unemployment rate fell to 6.9% in October from 7.9%. Economists polled by Dow Jones expected the rate to dip to 7.7%. The U.S. economy also added 638,000 jobs last month, topping an estimate of 530,000. 


European markets closed lower Friday as investors awaited the outcome of the U.S. election and reacted to rising coronavirus cases and new restrictions across the continent. 
The pan-European Stoxx 600 ended the session down by 0.2%. Autos fell 1.7% to lead losses while basic resources bucked the downward trend to add 1.9%. 
Corporate earnings Friday came from Austrian chipmaker AMS and German insurer Allianz, with shares of both companies ending the session slightly higher. At the top of the Stoxx 600, Richemont shares climbed almost 8% after the Swiss luxury goods company reported a strong set of earnings. 


BELELX15 was up 1.1% as we see over 2% advance at Komercijana and Belgrade Airport, while NIS gained 0.55. The most active name was Komercijana Banka, with RSD 6.5m in volume. 
The new auction of five-year government bonds of the Republic of Serbia, which are due on July 30, 2025, with a coupon rate of 3%, took place on November 3, announced the Public Debt Administration. The total demand was RSD 1,358,530,000, and 45,853 bonds were realized of the total nominal value of RSD 458,530,000. The bonds were sold at an annual yield rate of 2.65% and are due on July 30, 2025. The payment of coupons of 3% will be done semi-annually, each July 30 and January 30 until the due date.
