SORS: Serbian trade deficit up 27.7% in 2 months 2018
Serbian trade deficit was hiked by 27.7% y/y in two months of 2018, Serbian Statistical Office reported on Friday. Total external trade volume amounted to EUR 34.5bn, up 34.5% y/y, while deficit amounted to EUR 748m. Import was covered with 76% of export, which is slightly worse versus 78% from a year ago, the same source says.

NIIS: NIS automatized bitumen filling process at Pancevo facility
NIS (NIIS) completed automatizing of bitumen filling process at its facility in Pancevo, local press reported. The investment was worth RSD 100m. This will contribute to much higher safety of workers and reduce ecological impact. NIS is among biggest bitumen producer sin Serbia.

SORS: Serbian industrial output in February up 3.3% y/y
Serbian industrial output in February was up 3.3% y/y, Serbian Statistical Office reported on Friday. For the first two months of 2018, industrial output was higher by 6.9% y/y. Processing industry in February was up 4.7% y/y, while production of electric power, steam and gas power was up 3.7%. Mining faced 9.5% y/y drop, the report says.
